Kindrunner program

We all know that runners go through tons of shoes during their lifetime, and while they are not good for running in anymore, the shoes still have some life in them. Well guess what, there is a great new program starting up very soon, called Kindrunner that is going to help us with this issue and from what they've told me, there is no one else in the industry offering this.

Kindrunner will be the only place on the web where us runners can trade in our old running shoes for new shoes and we'll  receive ‘Kindness Cash Rewards’ for every shoe we send to them. What do they do with our shoes, you ask? Well they give those old shoes to their shoe donation partners, including Soles 4 Souls and the More Foundation, to benefit people in need. Another benefit.... it's saving room in our landfills and closets and giving them to someone who would greatly value them.  A great line from them is "Your old shoes may not last another long run, but they would go the distance in changing someone else's life for the better!"

A little background on the group running this. They are a group of passionate runners who have a combined 40+ years working in the industry, that know that there are millions of running shoes that go into the trash yearly, and think they can do something better with those shoes.   Their goal is to also bring the knowledge of a local-running shop to your fingertips online. There are tens of millions of people around the world who would get years of use from these shoes that most of us consider to be trashed...  and they want to reward us for helping others, hence the kindness cash idea!

To launch their site the right way, they are hosting a giveaway as soon as they receive 500 likes on their facebook page. They are going to give away a selected pair of running shoes to one winner and a running partner of their choosing—provided that friend also ‘likes’ us on Facebook.

Okay, so here's your part. Go like them on facebook, follow them on twitter and instagram, and check out their youtube videos, so that are ready and in the know when they launch!!

I'm excited... How about you???
