Fabulous Friday

Well I do feel fabulous today. I am slowly, baby steps, getting back my mojo. I have run twice already this week and did a short ab workout two times this week. Tomorrow is a rest day,and I am ready to dive into my long run on Sunday. One of Beachbody's wonderful coaches decided to start a turbo fire challenge group just for coaches, so I am starting back at that on Monday. I feel good, fingers crossed I stay that way, and I have energy!!! So I am amped up to get back going on my training plan, which will lead to hopefully a good marathon in December.

How about you? Did you have a fabulous week?

Inspiration Wednesday

Well, I really did try to write this last night, but my stupid laptop was acting up :( For all those who have been reading, you know I have been struggling to get the motivation to get my workouts in, and since I'm training for a marathon that is really a bad thing. So here's my inspiration for myself and all those who are struggling.

Mamavation Monday - still feeling discouraged :(

I don't know WTH is wrong with me, but I NEED to get out of this funk. I worked out 2 days, Monday and Tuesday and that's it!! Ugh, I know I've been battling sinuses and then a stomach issue but really, no excuse!  I am so fed up with myself right now. I have a marathon in just over 2 mths and if I don't get training, it's really going to suck! So I'm asking for some motivation ladies. Help me get out of this funk!!!!

Fabulous Friday

I'm not feeling extremely fabulous today. I'm still a bit discouraged, I've gone from sinus issues to stomach issues and have not really worked out in 3 weeks. But, I'm on the upswing today, and I'm ready to jump back in!! Next week will be my week. I will get back on track. What is fabulous though, is that I just reserved a cabin for a weekend fall trip in the mountains. I can't wait to spend an entire weekend relaxing and enjoying the gorgeous fall foliage.

How about you? I could use some fabulous thoughts from all of you.

Reel Cash Critters

Who doesn't love some downtime where you get to play some fun, cute online games? I know I do, so when Mom Spark Media approached about reviewing their online game Reel Cash Critters, I jumped on the opportunity. Normally, I don't have a lot of time to play online games, so that was another reason I jumped on this. It gave me a reason to play games.

Reel Cash Critters is a really cute, slot machine game where you can win real cash. They have a cute chipmunk who is the host.

And then within the game there are two teams that you can belong to.
Skunk Team
Raccoon team

That part of the game was a little confusing to me, and I never did quite figure it out. But I did love the games that you could encounter on certain spins. Both games allowed you to earn more points for playing the slot machine. The first was called Spin-O-Matic, where you spun the wheel and the second was called Reel Slots Shots, where you was like a shooting gallery, and you shot at ducks and rabbits.

Like I said, it is a really cute game, and a fun way to get your mind off of work for a little while, while trying to win some cash, and if you sign up here, you will have 10,000 free GV's added to your account to start playing. It's not the only game on the site you can play. There are tons of fun, free games, some you can win money with, others you just earn more GV's to play some more games. So, take your 15 minute break and head on over play.

This review was made possible by Mom Spark Media. Thoughts are my own. I received a Gamesville Gold Membership and compensation for my time investment and work on this campaign.

Today I wanted to emphasize to everyone that you are your own person, and you shouldn't compare yourself to others. If you allow yourself to do that,  you will never be skinny enough or pretty enough. But the thing is you are - you are you, just be the best YOU that YOU can be. You are beautiful, you are fit - just keep  telling yourself that and you will acheive it!!!

Mamavation Monday

I didn't post last week and I wasn't going to post this week. I haven't been feeling that great, and I am completely discouraged with my lack of motivation. I have been battling a sinus headache for two weeks, and I have maybe worked out three or 4 times during the past three weeks. I'm ticked off at myself and I need to force myself out of this funk!!!!! It seems like ever since I was overwhelmed at work, I have been in a funk that I can't seem to get myself out of. I'm not going to post my workouts, there wasn't enough to make it worth it.

So tell me, how do you get yourselves out of a funk? Kick my butt into action!!!!

Inspiration Wednesday

Exercise and healthy living is a way of life, not a fad or a diet. If you want to be fit and healthy you need to be in it for the long run, not just to lose 10 lbs to go to a wedding, or for bikini season. The awesome thing is that once you commit to healthy living, you will begin to feel better, and feel better about yourself. It also will become a habit that you will be able to continue with for the rest of your life.

Are you in it for the long run? Are you ready to make a lifestyle change to healthy living?

Inspiration Wednesday

First, a post made on The Journey to Fit and Fabulous kicked me in the butt -

So lets talk excuses today. I dislike them. And have zero patience for them. No matter WHO you are or what you have going on in your life, you have excuses not to live this lifestyle 100%. But guess what...the choice is YOURS wether you use them or not. Yes, your excuses may be valid. I am not calling you a liar. However I AM calling your bullshit.
Guess what...I live 2,000 miles from
all my friends & family, my husband works 6 days a week..12 hours a day, I have twin babies and HAVE had them this entire journey..I started when they were 6 weeks old. I have no help outside of my husband. SO my only choice is to workout when he is after he gets home or when my children sleep. I have never let my daughters be an excuse they are my reason. We aren't rich people. We are average. I am a smart shopper. I walk out of the grocery store every week & usually spend around $100 & that's with diapers & extra baby snacks. So please never say you cannot afford to eat healthy. Pick & choose what you NEED & look for sales. Buy meat in bulk on weeks that it's marked down etc.
Single mom? Alone? No support? Not enough money to get a gym membership? OK guess what for the first 5 months of my babies lives I did ALL my workouts AT HOME & I still quite frequently do. Too tired to workout? Okay...I bet if it were more important to you...you wouldn't be too tired!
Sorry if I offend anyone...but I truly believe most people don't have the time or the money for this lifestyle. But IF it's actually important to you...you WILL make time. You WILL!!!! Search inside you, find your motivation AND lose your excuses.
I lost mine! ...your turn!!!

Second, my awesome Beachbody coach and friend, Carin posted this

So you failed. You want to be really great? Have the courage to fail big and stick around. Make people wonder why you're still smiling.

Ok, so if that's not enough motivation to get my butt back out there I don't know what is. Come on guys, we're so worth the effort.

Mamavation Monday - Week 12 (?) Marathon Training

I really didn't want to write this post this week. I guess that's why it's a day late (again). My motivation was absolute crap last week. I had a large project due at work and I worked on it day in and day out, even from home. It sucked out all my energy. Now it's done, so I hope I can get back on track. I'm not going to post a recap of my week, because it is just too sad, but my goal this week is to get back on track and rock my workouts.

I did have a great long weekend and some downtime with my family. We went bowling everyday, and spent a lot of time together. It was very enjoyable, and I definitely needed it.

How was your week? Did you stay motivated?
