Fabulous Friday

The last 2 weeks have been crazy at work. I had the big certification exam and then I had a huge project due. I have been working long hours, on the weekend, and through lunch, but it's over. I turned it in at 5 pm last night. Now it's time to back to normal. My training, sleeping, and down time has seriously suffered because of this, and I'm feeling it physically and emotionally.

That said it's Fabulous Friday, and what's fabulous is the busyness at work is done and I can get back to normal. It's also a 3 day weekend, so I get to have some serious down time with my family!!

How about you? What's fabulous for you this Friday?

Inspiration Wednesday

Today's inspiration popped out at me this morning, thanks to my awesome friend Tara Burner. Please go visit her over at http://taraburner.com/. She's always providing a great message, and inspiration.

I needed this today, because I allowed someone to get under my skin first thing and it was ready to ruin my whole day. This reminded me that I am the only person that decides what day I am going to have, and to not let something stupid get to me and make me feel miserable. So, now it's Wednesday Take 2, and I have a positive attitude!!!

How about you? Will you allow someone to dictate how your day turns out today?

Mamavation Monday - Week 12 Marathon Training

Sorry it's a day late, but it's here :) Last week was an ok week for me. I didn't get in all of my workouts like I wanted to. I know, I say no excuses but it was a crazy week. I had a huge certification exam to take on Thursday, and Friday I received the results of my son's hormone growth testing. Needless to say, I had been stressing all week over both of them and slept like crap. I'm hoping this week will be better. I also have put on some weight :(  Too much snacking I guess. Here's my wrap up of last week -

Monday - Turbo Fire 45 EZ, TF Ab Ignitor, TF Stretch 10
Tuesday - 3 miles incline run
Wednesday - TF Firestarter
Thursday - NADA (should've been a 3 -4 mile easy run)
Friday - NADA (should've been TF Core 20 and TF Stretch 40)
Saturday - bowling
Sunday - 15 mile long run (should've been 19, but I'm not stressing about that because I still have plenty of time before my race)

Plan for this week -

Monday - TF Core 20 and TF Stretch 40
Tuesday - 3 miles of speedwork
Wednesday - TF Fire 45 EZ, TF Stretch 10, TF Ab Ignitor
Thursday - 3-4 mile easy run
Friday - TF Low HIIT 25, TF Stretch 10, TF Ab Ignitor
Saturday - rest
Sunday - 17 mile run

Goals -
1. Drink More Water - still slacking on this one
2. Less Snacking and smaller portions for meals
3. Not be too hard on myself

How about you? How are your goals going?

First Day of Fall Virtual 5k

I have finally done it - I decided to run my first marathon, but I wanted it to have a little more meaning than just running a marathon (I know "just running a marathon"). Anyways, I decided that I would fundraise for Operation Jack, a group that helps raise money for autism. Here's a little information about them - Operation Jack

That said, we all know one of the best ways to raise money is to host a virtual 5K. We know we all love running, bling and prizes. Well I have all of that. I am working on an awesome medal to give to all who participate, and I'm working on getting some great prizes to give out. The cost is going to be $20 for those who want a medal, and $15 for those who don't.

So, who's in????

First step:

Go to my paypal account and make your donation

Second step:

Fill out the registration form

Easy enough, right? But if you have any questions at all, please let me know email me

Mamavation Monday - week 11 Marathon training Do over

Well, I wasn't quite as motivated this week as I was last week, but I still did pretty good. I was really tired, and I think it was for two reasons. One, I think I'm fighting off a cold or something, because I have had a sore throat and a sinus headache. Two, Aunt Flo was on her way to visit. I, did, technically only take 1 rest day, since I'm counting bowling as exercising and I walked an extra mile 4 days last week, but I took 2 days extra off on my training plan. Below is my wrap up of the week -

Monday - TF 20 Low HIIT, TF Stretch 10, TF ab ignitor, 1 mile walk
Tuesday - bowling, 1 mile walk
Wednesday - 3 miles of speedwork, 1 mile walk
Thursday - TF Firestarter, 1 mile walk
Friday - nothing
Saturday - bowling
Sunday - 11 mile run (was supposed to be a total of 18, never ran the other 7 :( ), bowling

Not too bad, but I'm striving for better!!! My goals for this week are to eat better, complete my training plan for the week, and drink my allotted amount of water (100 oz).

Here's my upcoming schedule -

Monday - TF Fire EZ class, TF Stretch 10, TF ab ignitor
Tuesday - 3-4 miles incline training
Wednesday - TF Firestarter Class, TF Stretch 10, TF ab ignitor
Thursday - 3-4 miles easy run
Friday - TF Core 20 class, TF Stretch 40 class, TF ab ignitor
Saturday - rest
Sunday - 19 miles run

How did you do with your goals last week? What are your goals this week?

Fabulous Friday

What's fabulous about this Friday? First and foremost, it's Friday!!!! This week has been crazy and long!! Second, band camp ends tonight and school starts Monday, bringing some normalcy back into my family's lives. Another fabulous thing is that I am working on a virtual 5k to benefit Operation Jack and Team4Autism to be held on September 22nd, and I have already got some great companies on board with some prizes. More information will follow soon on this, I'm just trying to get the page set up, and then I will make it public. Tomorrow is one of my BFF's birthday, so we will be celebrating (childless) with her and some other friends.

What's fabulous in your life right now?

Inspiration Wednesday

I need to remember this! I will overcome anything that comes in my way, even if it's myself. I will not let me talk myself out of becoming a better, stronger person. Yes, that is what I want to be, but I always seem to come up with excuses as to why I can't workout. I'm not going to allow myself to do that anymore - it's time to become what I want to become, not allowing myself to take the easy way out. Who's with me????

*PS - stay tuned, I will be hosting a virtual 5k to benefit Operation Jack and Team4Autism on Sept 22nd. More information will be coming, and I have some great prizes lined up. :)

Mamavation Monday - Week 11 Marathon Training

Monday came and went way too quick yesterday, so again this is a day late. I started turbo fire last week as my XT program and I love it. It's a HIIT program and it definitely challenges me. My training week went pretty well, I only missed my long run on Sunday because we went to Busch Gardens to celebrate my youngest son's birthday. I figure the amount of walking I did between Saturday and Sunday definitely was exercise :) I also have been walking every day to pick up my son from band camp. Here's my wrap up of the week -

Monday - BB Fit test, bicycle crunches, 1 mile walk
Tuesday - 3 miles hill work, 1 mile walk
Wednesday - Turbo Fire Greatest HIITS, TF Ab Ignitor, 1 mile walk
Thursday - 3 mile run, 1 mile walk
Friday - TF Firestarter, TF stretch 10, TF ab ignitor, 1 mile walk
Saturday - walking
Sunday - walking

My goals this week are to keep up with this consistency, and make sure I get my long run in :)

Fabulous Friday

I have to say it's been a pretty fabulous week again. Training is going well. I started a new XT program that I absolutely love, so far it's keeping me motivated. My youngest hits the double digits next week so we are planning on taking him away this weekend, and I'm feeling a bit energetic (now if I could just stop falling asleep on the couch LOL).I also was nominated for the Liebster Award by 2 different bloggers - now I just need to pass along the award :) Life is good!

Who else is having a fabulous week?

Inspiration Wednesday

Ugh, I forgot what day it was!! So here's Inspiration Wednesday a day late :D

This is how I feel about me! I'm tired of all the hype about being perfect. Who in the world is actually perfect? Doesn't everyone have some sort of imperfection, whether it be inside or out? I would rather work my hardest at being the best ME that I can be, not some image of perfection that has been developed by our media.

So today I compel all of you to let go of the stereotypes and just work on being the best YOU that you can be!!!

Mamavation Monday - Week 10 of marthon training redone

Can I just say, I was on fire last week!!! I got in a workout everyday, and followed my training plan. I definitely started August out on a good foot. Now if I can just keep up my motivation and kick my butt into gear. I hope to start Turbo Fire this week and I am very excited about that. Ok, here's my wrap up of last week -

Monday - Swimming with the boys, and playing in the pool
Tuesday - 3.03 miles speedwork, bowling
Wednesday - Pop Pilates muffin top workout, Spark People kickboxing, swimming
Thursday - 3 miles easy run
Friday - Pop Pilates intense abs, Spark People jump workout
Saturday - swimming
Sunday - 17 miles run

Let me tell you that running while watching the Olympics really is a motivator. So I'm still ramped up for this week. Here are my goals -

1. Continue to follow my training plan
2. Start Turbo Fire for my XT days
3. Work more on my eating
4. Get up to workout in the morning before work.

How about you guys? How was your week? Any new goals for this week?

Fabulous Friday

What do I feel fabulous about this week? Well for one, it's Friday :) It's been a crazy work week just coming back from vacation, but I have a job, so for that I am grateful. Second, I had an absolutely awesome vacation!!! It was a once in a lifetime trip for my boys!! Totally amazing, I still have to blog about it so I can share it with all of you. Lastly, I finally decided to embark on the Team Beach Body Coach opportunity. I'm very excited, and I am starting a challenge at the end of the month. Let me know if any of you are interested in joining it.

What fabulous happened during your week?

Inspiration Wednesday

Many of you know that I have been on vacation for the last two weeks, so my exercise plan has pretty gone to the way side, and the two weeks before that was pretty slim, too. But I've decided that I'm starting anew - August 1st is the beginning of the new me. No more excuses - I will obtain my goals!!!

Who's with me?!?!?!!?!
